This dining room has been in the making for several months. The lattice work fabric valances over the woven wood shades play the supporting role, while the the wide navy/ bright blue strip and cream/ blue embroidered seat fabric on the over sized host and hostess chairs take center stage! I could not find dining chairs with backs tall enough for the height of the ceilings in this lovely west hills home ...so I had them made. Now the proportions are just right. The buffet piled high with one of a kind Asian antique ginger jars and porcelain bird cage add to the "I'm not off the showroom floor look." The large print area rug was from NW Rugs and started the whole design color theme. The Turkish Ottoman empire reproduction cast candle sticks made into lamps with black shades is just what the large marble topped buffet needed.
And finally the cranberry red container filled with succulents and kissed with a green glass float here and there helped bring in the colors from the rug and loosen the whole look. I also added cranberry colored low bowls filled with big Moss balls to the buffet to add a warm texture to all of the porcelain and marble.

The end result is youthful with out being trendy and certainly a room that will stand the test of time and keep your visually interested!
